Riddles are a nice and fun way to practice your comprehension.  They're great because they're short and sweet, but they make you think for a while. The best part is that you're forced to say the English sentences over and over until you figure it out….or give up (preferably the former). This repetition is great for your practice (sentence structure, vocab, etc) and helps make you think in English!  To the teachers; this is a great activity to do with students towards the end of class. If they can't figure it out, I let them think about it and give the answer the following week.

Riddle:

What is greater than God,
more evil than the devil,
the poor have it,
the rich need it,
and if you eat it, you'll die?
